Data Based Development Systems is hiring Support Tech  Level 2

We have 10 positions available nationwide

Our customer is looking for several Desktop Support Level 2 Techs for on-site Field Support throughout the enterprise. Resources will be expected to manage day to day break/fix and service requests for end users in accordance with our customers IT Service Management processes to minimize customer downtime and improve the end user experience. The candidates must be able to work within the framework of established operating procedures and in close cooperation with others, provides the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the computer systems, applications and related components. Focus on both hardware and software aspects of the operational computer systems. Monitor computer system performance and security to ensure the business requirements are continuously being met at agreed and acceptable levels of performance, security and availability.

Responsibilities include:

Support, maintain, develop and troubleshoot the operational network computer and telecommunication systems and related hardware and software components.

Perform hardware and software installations, upgrades and maintenance of network computer systems, components and applications.

Provide and implement measures to improve the performance, security and/or availability of computer (operating) systems, components and applications.

Monitor and document computer (operating) systems, applications and hardware operational statistics (usage, performance, security/access, errors, availability, etc.).

Assist in developing and enhancing the network computer systems, operating systems, applications and components.

Work closely with the Network Administrators to monitor, analyze and troubleshoot local area networks and components.

Ensure business data and systems are adequately protected and backed up in accordance with existing procedures and guidelines.

Install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain end-user systems and applications.

Remain up-to-date with the latest relevant technology developments to ensure industry best practices and developments are known and investigated for applicability for the company.

Participate in projects with other IT departments and/or external vendors.

Perform other related duties as required.

2 years related Tech Support experience  

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Possible travel from site to site as needed


Desired Skills Include:

A+ Certification preferred
